Commonly Asked Questions

  • What is your style?

The best description I've come up with is "romantic documentary": a combination of traditional and documentary style coverage. I understand my style isn't for everyone and that's okay! If you're looking for strictly traditional images and lots of posed/staged photos, I am probably not the photographer you'll want.

  • Do you do posed photos?

Most couples, and especially families, love to see the classic wedding portraits. I ask all clients to make a short list of the 'must have' formal shots. I always advise that the simpler the better, and I usually like to spend 15 to 20 minutes at the most for these type of photos. You'll want to get on to the party anyway! Besides the classic bridal party poses, I also like to do contemporary group photos. Same with the bride and groom. Classic then fun/edgy/fashion shots.

  • Are you available for travel or destination weddings?

YES! Travel fees are based on the actual cost of transportation and lodging. Some destinations may be eligible for a discount so contact me to find out.

  • How many photos will I receive?

On average, most couples can expect around 75-100 images per hour of the event. The only complaint I've ever had was that there were too many photos to pick out their favorites! The great thing is, you don't have to! All wedding packages include a high resolution photo disc so you'll never have to choose. Web ready photo discs are also available for you bloggers, MySpacers, and Facebookers.

  • Do you shoot with an assistant?

I'm normally a one woman show but any package can include a second shooter for an additional fee.

  • How can I book you?

I require a signed contract and a deposit to reserve a date. I also like to have a consultation with the couple to review the contract, discuss their vision for their photography, provide more example images, and to just get to know each other. Phone consultations are also possible if you're located out of town.
