    The Slocum Family

    Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Sonya contacted me about doing photos for their family a few weeks ago. After I meet or book new clients, I often look them up on Facebook or Myspace and add them to my friends list. I was quite surprise to find that Sonya come from a very small town in Oklahoma where I happen to have family. It’s a small world!

Sweet little Chance was a super model. He was a bit cautious at first but I can’t blame him. Some strange woman making silly faces and holding a large black object that flashes is probably a bit frighting.

Thanks for coming all the way from Belgium to hang out and ‘play’ =)

    Father/Daughter Dance Song

    Sunday, January 18th, 2009

I had to share this song with you all because it’s a perfect song for a father/daughter dance. It’s Steven Curtis Chapman’s “Cinderella”. You can hear it here.

    Results and Photos!

    Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

So the total tally is…. 31! Not too bad! =) Thank you everyone that participated. I think this might be something I will blog again next year. Maybe we can double it next time!

My family and I are about to head back to the US for Christmas and New Years. We’ll be flying from Germany to Virginia on the 23rd, driving up to New Jersey on the 26th, driving from NJ to Oklahoma on the 28th and then back from OK to VA on the 3rd… crazy, huh?! We’ll have lots of time on the road to eat a little of all the fast food we’ve missed. I just hope we don’t run into any bad weather…. That 22 hr drive is already going to feel like forever with our 2 yr old in the back!

So, here are a few random photos from the past few days….

This one is a Photoshop edit I did on Monday. I took an awesome photo of the moon that night and then merged it with an older bridal portrait.

And these next photos are from a maternity session done last week. Sean and Elizabeth are so sweet! They already have 2 daughters and now they’re expecting a little brother for them. So exciting!! I hope I get the chance to photos them as a family once the little man comes home.

    Cans for Comments!

    Monday, December 8th, 2008

I really really love receiving comments here on my blog or on Facebook. It brightens my day to know my work is appreciated. So, when I stumbled across this idea, I was all for it!

Here’s the deal: For one week starting right now, Monday the 8th, I will donate 1 can of food (or box) to a food bank for every comment made until the week is up. You can comment here or browse the archives and comments on older posts. Since I’m here in Germany, I’ll try to find a local food bank but if that’s not how they do things here, I will wait and made the donation when I’m home in the USA for Christmas.

So comment, tell your friends, and pay it forward!
