It was such a pleasure to work with them. They were very laid back and gave me free rein with my ideas for photos. When I had my alone time with them to do photos in the city, they rocked it! Even in the moments that I wasn’t suggesting positions, they came up with their own and did some great acting/modeling too.

This could be considered a TTD (trash the dress) session but we just got a little dirt on it. These types of photos can be made after the wedding at any time. Anna waited a few years to put her dress back on and take these. It think it was well worth digging it out of the closet!

This was the first Marine wedding that I’d attended as well as my first in Hawaii. Those guys in uniform look so sharp! I think we have photos here they can use for the next print Marine ad!

I always say I have the greatest clients and it’s true. This family was no exception. They were so warm and kind and made me feel right at home with them. And again, I love sisters! These sisters were soooooo sweet! You could tell just how much they love each other and how close they all are.

Thank you two so much for a wonderful experience and for having me there. Hope to get back to the islands again someday and maybe we can do some baby photos then!

This couple is so down to earth, warm, fun, and so sweet. They have the most romantic and touching love story I’ve ever heard. I won’t go into all the details but let’s just say, childhood sweethearts, distance, reunion, love, trials, more love, and then marriage. There were tears. Lots of them. (From everyone.) At the ceremony and at the reception. Happy tears of course! But a tear is a tear and they’re pretty hard to see through when you’re trying to take photos! =)

Thank you so much for inviting us to participate in your most special day. I’m so glad to have witnessed your love and to have celebrated with you and your family.

I could go on and on about how great everything was but I think my photos can show that pretty well. Thank you again for having me be a part of your day and again, congratulations!

After the ceremony, I drove the couple back to their home for some gorgeous portraits. The whole wedding was planned to be on their property but due to extremely high temperatures, everything was moved to the building where the reception was to be held.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Shirley! Thanks for having me along for your celebration.

They had an Asian/jazz theme going on and it was awesome! Check out those roses….. they’re origami! And the hundreds of cranes hanging from the ceiling….. she folded them! Dana is so creative and talented. I won’t even tell you how long they’d been preparing and folding for this wedding! They turned the Boerne Community Center into an origami wonderland and swing danced the night away!

The ceremony started with the officiant, a friend of the couple, reciting, “Mawwiage. Mawwiage is what bwings us here togethaw today. Mawwiage, that bwessed awwangement, that dweam within a dweam…” Everyone was laughing and trying to figure out what was going on! After we all settled down the ceremony proceded normally and when they kissed he quoted, “Since the invention of the kiss, there have only been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind.” How cool is that! (if you’re totally confused, go watch The Princess Bride!)
