Benji is a little chatter box and he’s always trying to repeat after his dad and I. His new word is “alicious”, as in, ” Yummy! Alicious!” (Delicious) The past couple of months, “doodie” has been his word for “movie”. Yesterday when I tried to sound it out slowly for him, he did the same, saying “dooooooodieeeee”!
Today I took a video of my efforts to correct him:
Our good friends, Josh and Jessica from San Antonio, came to visit us this weekend. They arrived in Duesseldorf via a train from Paris. We had a great time hanging out, checking out some sights, and introducing them to some local cuisine.
They are expecting their first baby, a girl named Shelby, so of course I did some maternity portraits while they were here. I can tell they are both so excited. Jessica has the ‘glow’ and Josh is all smiles when they talk about their little girl. Congratulations!
I actually have a shirt that says that! I guess I need to take a photo of myself wearing it and posted it in the About Me section.
Anywho, I’m writing this in the hopes that my lovely blog readers can help me. I’ve planned a trip home to Oklahoma for the whole month of July. The airfare from Germany is crazy expensive right now, so I’m hoping to book a few photography gigs while I’m home to help pay for the visit. I’m open to weddings or portrait sessions and will be offering discounts. Tell all your friends! Hook me up!
Edit: I just wanted to say, “Wow!”. I’m really overwhelmed with all the support and help my friends and past clients are giving me. I posted a few notes online about needing to find some work and within just a couple of hours, I had like 7 emails from people they’d referred to me! How awesome are you guys?! I love ya! Diana and Kelly came over last week for some maternity photos. The weather had been GREAT and then, of course, on our photo day it poured. We managed to get several awesome photos despite the weather being uncooperative.
Baby is due in just a few weeks so check back to see the newborn pics of baby Audrey.
